Week 24

Kia ora!

This week has been pretty good!
We started off with pday at the beach! We got permission to have our district go with another district it was way fun! We played touch rugby and the beach and just got to enjoy ourselves. I got a little sunburned and when we went to go see a member and her family the next day and she got all worried I was gonna be in pain and start peeling and I told her it's all good itll be tan by the next day haha she acts like she's my mom haha it's good to have someone that cares so much for us missionaries!

Tuesday we were supposed to have district council but some of the sisters were sick so we moved it to Thursday. So Tuesday turned into heaps of tracting and trying not to day in the sun haha.

Wednesday was great! We started off with heaps of tracting and getting super tired. We both were getting tired of being in the sun and were getting discouraged bit it came time to go visit Joshua. He was the guy that walked to church with our youth. We just wanted to go day hello and catch up with him and just talk but one thing led to another and the spirit led us to teaching him about the plan of salvation! He was so keen to listen to it and soaked up the whole lesson. He opened up to us about his life and how he wants his family to have all the blessings the gospel has for them and he got very emotional. We truly saw how much he wants to learn and go to church. Sadly he didn't come to church this week cause he had a family event. All good though he said he will come this next week!

Thursday we had district council and discussed what we can all work on and improve throughout the rest of the transfer to help our areas the most and to get our members more involved. It's a big struggle here. Most of the members are converts and never served missions so they dont know how to be missionaries and invite others to come to church. So we have to help them along with do finding on our own haha. We put in heaps of less active visits Thursday.

Friday I honestly cant think of anything exciting that happened. Just a normal day haha

Saturday morning we received the exciting news of getting to call home on pday, birthdays and other holidays! That's exciting and I truly feel it will bless thieves of missionaries that struggle with depression and it and help missionaries with adjusting back to normal life when they get home so I see heaps of benefits from this new adjustment! Isn't it great to have a modern day prophet to lead and guide us every day of our lives! We than spent the day visiting members and trying to get some referrals and find people to teach. Very exciting day.

Sunday was great we went to church and the young men held a linger longer and it was Sundae Sunday so we had heaps of icecream it was great haha. We than went to go to our lesson with erica and her mom gave us more icecream haha. We had a lesson on the holy Ghost and did some activities to help her understand the role of the Holy Ghost! It was a great lesson and we asked her how she felt about it and she said "well when I get the Holy Ghost..." so we feel very confident in her getting baptized! Haha she is doing great!
We went to dinner and than as you would expect the members gave us dessert and guess what?!? More icecream haha gotta love it!! The icecream here is soooooooo much better! I feel bad for America haha.
(Pray for me when I get home ill be stuck with not as good icecream haha)

This week has been absolutely amazing! I love seeing the miracles that happen in every single day! God is great he cares for and  loves each and everyone of us! I love you all and hope you all have a great week!

Ofa atu!

Love,
Elder Wilding
