Kia ora everyone!
This week has been pretty busy but really good. We have been trying to visit so many people and help out as much as we could haha.
Monday was pretty good. Nothing too exciting went on just a little relaxing and getting some rest.
Tuesday we had District council and went over the goals for the month again and sorted out a bunch of stuff. Pretty busy. I'm still not used to being a district leader it takes so much extra thinking and time haha. We spent heaps of time trying to do some tracting but man it was hot as! We ended up taking a break cause we couldn't really stand the heat haha. We than had dinner with the stake president and his family. They are great and really tried to help with some people that we could go visit. Really good family!
Wednesday we started off the day with interviews with President Walker and they were really good. He mentioned how I've been in west harbour for a long time so that means he might be moving me this transfer haha who knows! We talked about how we can help out our ward more with getting them into missionary work. Really good interview. We than had a conference call with the rest of the leaders in the zone to set zone goals that was pretty fun. It's really cool to be involved in that. Did our usual tracting and talking to people. It seems to never get any easier haha it's always hard stopping some one to talk to them. We did some other member visits and that was our day.
Thursday we went to the Auckland city mission again and served food to the poor and needy. It is one of my favorite services. The people are super cool. Some are kinda rude and obnoxious but it's all good we know we are setting a good example for the church and the people that work for the city mission really love having us around to help out. That was pretty much our entire day so that was fun.
Friday we had weekly planning and than we went to go visit a potential family and finally got to meet the kids. One has been baptized and the younger one hasn't been so we are trying to teach the family and see how that goes. But we spent about an hour just talking to them making sure they were comfortable around us and we will try to teach next week some time. And than we went to another potential and talked to his son who is 21 he thought it was cool that people around his age were out serving the lord it was a good conversation with him and tried to see him and his dad the next day but his dad kinda turned us away and said to come back later when he wasn't so tired from work haha. We got a call from the sisters in the district and they needed their front tire replaced with their spare se we went over there and did that it was pretty cool haha. Fun times!
Saturday was good. We ended up going back to the sisters to give them our spare tire because their was going flat and when we got their car up on the jack our spare didn't fit theirs so we had to reput their other tire back on haha. Very interesting morning haha. Than we went to go visit Heemi and his mom. It was really good. They have been struggling to get to church and really miss going but with all they have gone through all we can do is pray for them. Than went to the prasads to eat dinner and than helped them move a freezer for one of their friends. Pretty fun day.
Sunday was pretty good. We had a new person named Daniel come to church today! He was someone that we found door knocking and invited him to come to church and to be honest he didn't really seem like he cared too much but he came and was really interested in what we had to say about missionary work and what we do. He invited us over for lunch next week after church so we hope to teach lesson 1 after! We than went to Erica and Selena's for another lesson and talked about the Book of Mormon and the baptismal interview questions to prepare her. It was good. She did t come to church though so we had to talk to her about coming and the importance of coming to church. We are still feeling good about the date but we might have to move it back a week just to make sure she understands everything and so the bishop and his family can be at the baptism to support her and talk to her parents. The bishops family is really close to them and will be out of town on the 16th so that will be a struggle to figure out haha. It was a pretty good day though.
Very good week. It flies by so fast it's weird haha. I hope you all had a great week I love you all and pray for you!
Ofa atu!
Love,
Elder Wilding
