Week 44
Kia Ora!
Sorry I've missed out on a few weeks of emailing. I'll try and get back into things. This week has been pretty crazy we had transfers and with all of that I have moved to South Auckland in the Otahuhu ward. It's been pretty crazy and heaps of fun.
So ill just start with transfer day on Wednesday. So we drove down and elder Vakaudekoro had to sit in another training for his new companion. I had to wait around for awhile to get my new companion Elder Ward. He's from my intake and we sat by each other on the plane ride here! Anyway when he got to the Chapel for transfers because we are the only people in the Ferguson zone with a car we loaded a trail or with everyone's luggage and helped move people. Delivered luggage the rest of the day haha.
Thursday we spent heaps of the time driving around making sure everything was all good with the other missionaries and make sure they had everything. We had a ward council on Thursday as well so I got to meet the bishop right away and other auxiliary leaders so that was good.
Friday we had to go to Missionary Leadership Council and that was from 8am to 3pm. Pretty long day haha but it was really good! We than drove back to our area and had some studies and had an MCM with the ward mission leader. It was good he's a really great guy and wants to help us out heaps!
Saturday we had a service at the Otara Markets. We cleaned the grounds and fixed wooden benches. It was way fun! We had weekly planning and than went out to dinner with the Ward mission leader Brother Vatikani and then went to go see less actives with him. It was really good we met quite a few really nice people and hope to see them more.
Sunday we had church and I bore my testimony so that was pretty good. I'm back in a ward so it was weird standing in front of way more people and having to talk haha. The ward is still kinda small due to drama in the ward but we hope to be able to clear some of it up. We went to go have dinner with Brother Vatikani again (he signs up for most of the days on the meal roster cause no one else does😅) and he being a Tongan decided to feed me Tongan food. So I ate raw fish, kumara, chicken, and some other fish haha. It was quite the experience but it was good. We than went to a youth devotional and met up with the stake president that came up to wellsford a few weeks ago😂 he was super excited to see me serving in the Otara stake haha he's really nice and is very missionary minded.
That sums up our week! I hope everyone is doing amazing and thanks for all the love and support!
Ofa atu!
Love,
Elder Wilding
