Week 63

Kia Ora! This week has been a pretty good week. It was so fast and we had so much going on. Hopefully everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving and enjoyed eating heaps and regretting it straight after haha but here is how my week went! Tuesday we started the week with a district council and set goals for the month of December. We have a few plans to do some fun activities and hopefully those pull through. That night we had team ups with President Walker and we did quite a bit of door knocking with him. It's always fun getting to go and do some work with him. We had a great companionship study with him as well and got to catch up on some important things in the mission. Wednesday we had a long day of meetings and driving a companionship around. We had ZLC for just about 2 hours to set goals for the zone. We discussed how we can become better and so on. After that we did our studies at the Chapel and straight after we had interviews with President Walker. It was a day full of sitting in meetings but it was fun nonetheless. That night we had a conference call to now set goals for the mission for the month of December. It is so fun to be apart of all these little meetings to see hwo we can all improve and move forward the Lord's work. Thursday we had an exchange with a trio in our zone and I spent the day with Elder Vanimi from India and Elder Tangi from South Auckland. Elder Tangi is visa waiting and will be going to Papua New Guinea. We spent the day doing some finding and trying to contact a few members to follow up on the missionary work the are doing. It was a pretty fun day for sure. Friday we ended that exchange and dropped the trio off at their flat and went to pick up another set of Elders for another exchange. This time I was with Elder Bir who is from Fiji. We went and had a pretty good lesson with this couple. We just read from 1 Nephi chapter 1 and helped them get familiarized with the story and what is happening. They loved how were were able to help them get extra meanijng out of what was being read. We really see heaps of potential in them but they are just super super busy and it's hard to meet with them. It's was a great day for sure. Saturday we ended the exchange and took the Elders back to their area and we spent the rest of the day doing some contacting and so on. That night though the ward had an activity. It was cultural night and with all the different cultures it was way fun and we got to do a little Light the World presentation. It was a really fun night! Sunday was super! We had a great sacrament meeting and we did our weekly planning and got a bit done but the best part of the day was that our mission did a little Come and See Fireside. I was able to invite Selena Wong to come and give a talk along with her friend that she helped get baptized!! It was so amazing getting to see my recent Convert bear her testimony nearly 1 year after her baptism. She has been so great and along with her friends that were already members they brought another friend into the gospel! It's so amazing seeing her grow!! This week has been a really good week and I'm so excited to see what comes next! I love doing the Lords work and can't explain how much it has helped me become better. I hope you all had an amazing week and again happy late Thanksgiving!! Ofa atu! Elder Wilding
