Week 57

Kia Ora Whanau! This week has been pretty good we had heaps of meetings this week so we weren't able to get too much finding done in our area. Tuesday we were able to have a video call lesson with a person we are teaching and that turned out pretty good. Technology has been such a great tool for us as Missionaries. We have even started to try and find people to teach using Facebook. We have had a really good conversation with a lady on Facebook because of it and we are trying to get to meet up with her in the near future. We spent just about all of Wednesday in meetings. We had District Council and right after that we had ZLC and councilled with the district leaders on how we can better our zone. So with all that plus studies and stuff we didn't get anything else done but it was good to have councilled with other missionaries. Thursday we were supposed to have an exchange with some elders but our car needed to go to the shop and it took wayyy longer than needed so we cancelled and had to do heaps of walking around trying to talk to people out of our area. We finally got back to our area and found a less active family that let us in and we were able to share a message with them and got a return appointment for Sunday. Friday we had weekly planning and did some finding. Not too much went on. Saturday most of the day was taken up with watching the Sessions of Conference and studies. I loved conference this year and it has really helped me so much. Sunday was great as well! We got to watch the afternoon session at the stake presidents house so that was cool. It was a little weird watching it at a home again haha over all it has been a great conference! I hope you all enjoyed it as well even though you watched it a few weeks ago! Hope you all have a great week! Love, Elder Wilding

Week 56

Kia Ora! This week has been a bit crazy. We had transfers so we spent most of Monday night and Tuesday planning and preparing for that. Since I was getting moved and Elder Ward was staying we had to go get his new comp from the bus stop because he came down from way up north. So we were in a trio for most of the day on Tuesday and didn't get too much done. On Wednesday we spent heaps of time driving around getting missionaries luggages and trying to find a rental covered trailer to do that so that was crazy. We felt like we were gonna be late for transfers haha. But I am now serving in the Howick ward with Elder Barnes. Its not too far from my last area its about 15-20 minute drive. It is a bit more of a wealthy area with way less Islanders so it's been a but weird to be honest haha. Come to find out there are heaps of South African people here so shout out to Elder Lish! Thursday we had some weekly planning and trying to get introduced to the people we are working with and had a stake MCM. Not too much went on. Friday we had MLC and received some training from the assistants and President Walker it was pretty good. I got my drivers license switched over to New Zealand so that will be a cool souvenir haha. And that night we tried to visit some more people. Saturday I was able to go back to Otahuhu and watch Davien get baptized! It was great. I failed to get the photos from Elder Ward so those will have to wait for a little bit haha sorry... We also had ward service for the community. It was the same group that ran the service I was at down in Otahuhu if anyone can remember that. I suck at taking photos so I'm not sure if I had any from the last time haha. That took up most of the day and than we did some studies and visited some potentials, did some door knocking and visited a less active. Sunday was nice. I introduced myself to the ward and got to meet quite a few of the members and set up some times to go and visit them. Nothing else really happened but it was a good day. I hope you all had a great week! Ofa atu! Love, Elder Wilding
