Week 3 - into the field

Hello everyone! Kia Ora! It has been one crazy week! The MTC has treated me well! It was really sad leaving the MTC but I know I will be having way more fun out here! I took a lot of photos with the elders and sisters there it has been so much fun! I love all the people I met and can't wait to see what happens within these next two years!

On Wednesday we left the MTC and received some new missionary training. I also got to meet my trainer. His name is Elder Baasansuren he is from Mongolia and is a very cheerful person and a hard worker who pushes me to do good every day! I'm so blessed to have him as my trainer! We are serving in the Waitemata zone and in the West Harbour area. I have to be the driver for our area because my companion is not allowed to drive and man is it crazy driving on the other side of the road with narrow streets and heeps of traffic! But at least I'm not walking 10 miles a day Haha. This week has been pretty crazy trying to get our feet on the ground. Elder Baasansuren is the district leader and has to figure out how to do it all plus train me. We have a lot more to do.

We went door knocking and found 1 person that seems interested so we will be teaching her and her family sometime this week I think. We don't have any other people to Teach as of now just a few less active families. I'm still trying to figure out all the names Haha I'm not that good yet Haha. Our ward boundaries are massive! We drove 30 minutes just to have dinner and dang it was worth it Haha. The food is a little different here but it's way good so I'm looking forward to all of the food.

The work has been pretty slow but if we just keep going it will pick up fast! I know our Heavenly Father will help us during our times of need! Yesterday we went to church and man were the talks given really good! After sacrament we had a lesson with a man named Quintin who is a very large man Haha 6 foot 7 and 350 lbs or more but he is doing really good with the church he wanted to have a change in him life and a co worker invited him to church a few months ago. He has a few challenges here and there but he is doing great! Last night we had a fireside where all the recent converts show up and a few bare their testimony and their conversion story it was awesome! President Walker talk and it was so powerful! That man is an amazing leader and teacher! I love him so much already!

Happy late birthday to Zane and today I am celebrating Grandpas birthday so happy birthday to him! I love you grandpa!!

I love each and everyone of you and pray for you all! The our Father blesses us all and wants us to be happy so just ask him for help and he will guide you! I will be sending photos soon so thanks for being patient!

Week 2 MTC

hey everyone! this week has absolutely flown by!! I'm having so much fun! this week we got to leave the MTC and go door knocking with the missionaries in this zone. it was so much fun. I biked with two other missionaries for about 5 miles or more and man am I out of shape haha! but the experience with door knocking and talking to real people was so fun! It was kinda hard to do at first but i think i will get the hang of it pretty quick! a few people were pretty interested in our message and we set up meetings for the missionaries i was with. As you would expect we had some people that were not even willing to listen to our message and told us to leave but hey thats their agency and maybe we were able to plant a seed for the next missionaries a few years down the road so that they can teach those people. we only got to spend about 6 hours out of the MTC with all the other missionaries but it was so much fun and i cant wait to start in the next week!  We knocked on a mans door and he was so interested in the Book of Mormon and he loved talking to missionaries it was such a great experience. we set up[ another time to go talk to him about the church again and im so sad that i wont be able to go back and see him and to witness his life change with his willingness to listen to the missionaries!

My 3 weeks at the MTC is almost up and i cant be more excited to go out there and serve the Lord! but on the flip side im pretty sad that i have to leave all the friends i have made here!  i love each and everyone that ive met here. i will be able to email with some of them too so i will be catching up with through out the next two years and maybe even become companions with some of them later on!  i cant remember if i mentioned this last week but i met a missionary from Colorado Springs and he has been a great influence for me! we talked a lot about rooming together in college and hanging out after we are home from our amazing 2 years! oh his name is Elder Rogers hes awesome! we will be in the same mission so hopefully the Lord blesses us so we can be companions!

My MTC experience has been amazing ive learned so much about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and im able to say and do things ive never imagined id be able to do! teaching has become so much easier and listening to the Spirit helps so so much and Im so greatful for the Gift of the Holy Ghost and what he does for me! My companion here at the MTC has made me improve so much in a short amount of time and im so greatful for him! i love it here at the MTC but i want to leave so bad at the same time haha... Im so blessed with the teachers and the friends that i have here and couldnt be happier with my progress while being here at the MTC and i know that our Heavenly Father has a lot more in store for me in the next two years!

Its kinda short again this week but starting next week i'll have more to share.  my next Pday should be on a monday but since i leave the MTC on wednesday i will miss a pday haha but oh well i cant wait to serve the people here and i love it so much already! thank you every one for the support and i love you all and may God Bless you!

Week 1 MTC

hey everyone!

man has it been a crazy week! the flight was super long but we had a HUGE group of missionaries. we had over 20 missionaries all flying to New Zealand. the Flight was pretty uncomfortable but me and two other elders had word searches to go through so that was pretty fun haha. We landed in New Zealand at 4 in the morning last thursday and that just made it the longest few days of my life haha. buut man is the MTC great!
we've been really busy with classes and learning how to be missionaries and I'm loving it!  I'm not the best teacher but I know with faith in our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ i can do anything! Im not able to send photos unfortunately so when i get out of the MTC i will be sending hopefully a ton so stay tuned! the classes have been super fun tho and I've met so many new people from so many countries! there are people here from 14 different countries and its such an amazing experience!  even though college is 2 years away I've even found people that will be going to BYU-I that we talked about rooming together and going to school together!  It has been so cool to meet all these people! Meeting all the people from Tonga and Samoa has been so interesting haha they are loud and laugh at just about everything they bring so much joy to the MTC!
While being here at the MTC i have learned so much about the Book of Mormon and teaching others. The spirit that is here is so amazing and the teachers make everything look so easy but teaching others is definitely way harder than i thought! I've grown so much spiritually and i love it here! I can't wait to get out into the mission field!

I love you all and miss you too! i know that this is the right thing to be doing in my life right now and I wouldn't want to spend it anywhere else! The blessings will be so amazing. I know it will be hard but I am getting better and better everyday! sorry this is a small email we dont have a whole lot of time but when i get to the mission field I'll make them longer with more experiences!

Again I love you all and pray for you
